RETREAT
I attended a workshop in which Kylee led the meditation sessions. She was very professional, positive and personable. I would highly recommend her to anyone wishing to start, resume of formalise their meditation practice. She was also highly motivating and very aware of the different emotions in the room.

Kate,
compassion Practice
Kylee is a wonderful meditation teacher. As a beginner, I appreciate her warm and kind approach. The compassion meditation techniques she shares are incredibly effective for me to achieve a relaxed state and remind me - even when I'm not meditating - to be kind to myself.
My Story | Kylee Smith
I have been practicing meditation across traditional Yogic and Buddhist Traditions for over 30 years. I have studied with teachers such as Sri Swami Satyananda and Swami Niranjanananda at the Bihar School of Yoga in India and Australia, as well as Tibetan Buddhist Vajrayana Meditation under teachers such as Sogyal Rinpoche, Mingyur Ripoche and The Dalai Lama. I hold a 660-hour Master’s in BioMedical Meditation Therapy & Allied Health Teaching Qualification through the Biomedical Institute of Yoga & Meditation (BIYOME), with special training in Trauma Informed Meditation, Breathwork, Meditation as Mind-Body Medicine and for Pain Management as well as Sound Healing and Compassion Focussed Meditation Teacher Training.
BIYOME, The BioMedical Institute of Yoga & Meditation offers the ultimate connection between the Ancient Science of Yoga and the Western Biomedical Model. Their programmes merge science and spirituality through experiential practice and they provide an understanding of mind-body medicine and biopsychosocial health through interbeing or present moment awareness [1]. The practice of meditation through BIYOME is evidence based and well supported through the latest available research.

My Story cont...
For the past seven years, I have been studying meditation with a wonderful American Classical Tantra teacher by the name of Dr Christopher Hareesh Wallis, through Tantra Illuminated. Classical Tantra is a Non-Dual Shaiva practice, where the intent is to fully embody divinity, rather than transcend the body. In the words of Hareesh (2015), Tantra is “World Embracing, rather than world denying… integrated with everyday life, rather than renouncing it”[1]. These teachings and practices are transforming my life day-by-day, hour-by-hour. It can be challenging at times in many ways, but the work is so worth it. The moments of joy and bliss that I have experienced over the years and especially since studying with Hareesh have been truly spectacular. This, combined with the depth of understanding that I have received on the ways to embrace and traverse the so-called negative emotions, have led me to a life that is at once authentic and fullfilled.
I now apply this combination of teachings from the scientific evidence base to the sacred wisdom traditions to provide a holistic and integrated path to wellness and peace. In addition, through my own lived experience, I can comfortably hold space in meditation for a range of complex health issues such as Chronic Pain, Depression and Anxiety and ADHD or AuDHD.

Why this, why now?
I created Sacred Stillness Meditation & Mind-Body Medicine out of my desire to live a more holistic life, to nurture and care for my family, my friends and my communities in a much deeper way. I have a desire to hold space for others that are seeking to begin or deepen their meditation practice and to share the transformative power of meditation that I have experienced in my own life.
I am observing too often the stressful lives that people lead, the illness, the pain and suffering. Buddhism teaches us that all life is suffering, but it also teaches us the causes of this suffering and the path to liberation or enlightenment.
If you too are seeking a more holistic and balanced life, and would like to begin a meditation journey or deepen your existing practice, or if you are suffering from physical, emotional or mental health conditions, please explore this website to uncover the ways in which we might work together to find stillness and peace.
I have face-to-face meditation classes and 1:1 mind-body medicine and meditation sessions in Williamstown and Maidstone, servicing the beautiful inner west suburbs of Melbourne, Hobsons Bay and Maribyrnong. I also provide virtual classes or 1:1 sessions via video.
Through lived experience, I can assist you with supporting a range of conditions. Please let me know ahead of the sessions whether you would like accomodations for lighting, sound, space etc.
